The only thing that could get me to install Silverlight is if ESPN or NFL.com used it exclusively. But you're right, MS had the opportunity to hit a homerun with this. Come up with something really innovative with the UX. But from what I understand they're pretty much just showing videos. Maybe they should have gotten the XBox team of UX designers in on this. It might have been more impressive.

If the Silverlight implentation of the Olympics coverage would bring anything more to the table that the Flash version does (really, 4 video feeds? what, is this CNN's political coverage?) then I might be happier with it. I mean, besides the fact you have to install some bloatware that makes my Mac unhappy, but I degress. Had they done something as innovative as http://www.amgentourofcalifornia.com/docroot/tourtracker2008/AdobeTourTracker.html I think it would have been palitable. Microsoft, this just screams "I want to be popular too! Look I can do 4 video feeds!!". Beh.
