Spring in Asheville

Mid April and the plants and trees are really getting their spring on. The dogwood trees here at the house are in full bloom and look healthier than they have in years. The oak trees are just starting to leaf out. In another 7-10 days we should have a pretty good canopy.

The rhododendron we call “Rudolph” is the first rhodo to bloom and has been every single year I’ve lived here.

This just barely captures the brilliance of the dogwoods.

This is the first azealia to bloom. More to come.
